The Kent Iron Industry

Every section of Kent has brooks, falls and ravines capable of supplying waterpower, and during 18th and 19th centuries every stream was used. There were several forges and ironworks that made bar iron (pig iron) and tools and utensils. Below are three historical sketches about Kent’s Iron Industry:
