Become a Seven Hearths Museum Docent
Are you a lifelong learner with a passion for sharing history with your community?
KHS will begin Docent training in the spring for volunteers interested in presenting guided tours and education programs to students and adults at Seven Hearths Museum. The docent program is both intellectually stimulating and socially rewarding and includes lectures, readings, discussions and field trips on topics related to Seven Hearths.
Learn more about the history of the Kent art community, art history, American / Colonial history and local lore. In the process, docents will understand how to present lively and engaging tours that integrate visual language, creative thinking and history. Whether you’ve lived here for many years or you are new to the area, discover the rewards of sharing the rich history of our town to students, families and adults.
Training Sessions will be offered on Tuesday, May 6 from 1:00 – 3:00pm or Saturday, May 10 from 10:30am – 12:30pm.
You do not need to be a Kent resident to participate.
